Heydar Aliyev Foundation to organize « Azerbaijani village » in Paris

Heydar Aliyev Foundation will organize « Azerbaijani village » on the Place Saint-Sulpice, Paris.

Different exhibitions on the history and culture of the country, the promotion of tourism opportunities will be organized at the « Azerbaijani village » from 19 to 28 September, APA reports.

At the exhibitions « Cultural Values of the Pearl of Caucasus – Azerbaijan », « Nizami » and « France through the eyes of Azerbaijani artists » will feature exhibits on the rich ancient history and culture of Azerbaijan, including copper products, Azerbaijani national clothes, national musical instruments, Azerbaijani carpets.

In addition, the materials about the works of great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi of the 12th century, archaeological finds related to this period – coins, jewelry, household items, as well as reproductions of miniatures of Azerbaijani artists in the Middle Ages, porcelain miniatures, carpets and batik reflecting the poems of « Hamsa » will be presented on the exhibition.

Kiosks promoting national cuisine, sweets, drinks, folk art, etc will be installed on the « Azerbaijani village ».

A presentation of the preparation for the first European games, which will be held in Baku in 2015, will be held at the event.

Publications of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, covering different areas will also be presented at the Azerbaijani village”. At the fair, which will run for ten days, State Dance Ensemble, « Natig » rhythm group, State Ensemble of Folk Musical Instruments, Ensemble of Ancient Musical Instruments and other musical groups will welcome residents and tourists with a variety of concert programs, Azerbaijani classical, jazz and Mugham.
